100th Anniversary of the beginning of World War I

30 years after the Olympic Winter Games in Sarajevo

 

The 12th Eurotour, will take the participants to the place where the first world war began with the assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand in Sarajevo on June 28th 1914, and ended on Armistace Day, November 11th, 1918.
From Luxembourg, with an official launch in Berne, over the Alps to Modena, where the tour will make a stop in the land of the engines (terra di motori). Next stage to Ancona where the participants will take the ferry to Zadar in Croatia.
From Zadar along the wonderful "Jad ranska magistrale" one of the most beautifu coastal roads in Europe, by following the famous cities such as Split, Makarska, to the “Pearl of the Adriatic”, Dubrovnik. The tour continuous up to Montenegro. A stop in the old trading port and town of Kotor. Kotor is an UNESCO World Cultural and Natural Heritage. From Kotor the tour hit the roads towards Podgorica, the capital of Montenegro. From there the tour continuous to Bosnia and Herzigovina, to be exact to Gorazde, Sarajevo and Mostar. Later to the Croatian capital, Zagreb. In Zagreb, the Eurobiker will then celebrate the end of the tour with a closing dinner.
