Luxembourg – Dusseldorf/Rijeka (225 km)
In presence of many officials and one of the patrons of the tour, Octavie Modert, Secretary of State for Culture, the fifth Eurobiker Tour started in Luxembourg. It got the benediction from archebishop Fernand Frank. More then 50 motorbikes took ther way from the place of the City Hall of Luxembourg, direction Düsseldorf. In this german town, a special train waited to bring everybody to Rijeka.
The first Tour Guide meeting was held in the wagon-restaurant running along the « romantic Rhine ».
Day 2 – Saturday May 26th, 2007:
Rijeka – Primosten (315 km)
After more than 18 hours of train, the motorcyclists are happy to pose their boots on the footrests of their bikes.
Quickly, the motor bikes are unloaded in the train station of Rijeka. Two courageous motorcyclists, one gone down from Luxembourg, the other of Vienna, await them on the platform. The “caravan” also meet the ambulance of the Luxembourg Red Cross and the Team of mechanics from ADAC Saar
After a short halt in the port of Rijeka and a reception with the orange juice (Croatia adopted the zero gram of alcohol in blood for the drivers), the real pleasure begins.
The road which borders the Adriatic Sea was certainly traced by a motorcyclist for the motorcyclists. The asphalt ribbon is perfect, and in this long weekend of Pentecost the traffic is exceptionally calm.
The thermometer of BMW 1200 RT of Webmaster posts indicates 28 degrees Celsius. Croatia seems to be a paradise for motorcyclists…

Day 3 – Sunday May 27th, 2007 :
Primosten – Dubrovnik (265 km)
Sunday is day of rest: no official program, but still of many kilometers of a splendid road which curves along the sea.
A least once the bikers make a trip on their feet : during the guided tour of Split, whose origin goes up with the “villa” of a Roman pensioner. At the fourth century, the Emperor Diocletian had there build a de luxe hotel, not far from its native town. During the centuries this palace “was squatted” by many people, of which in the seventh century a Croat tribe. The original plan of the palate can still be found in the cellars. Since the seventh century the higher stages have been transformed into residences.
Continuation on two wheels along the spledid “Makarska Riviera” to arrive in the magnificent old town of Dubrovnik… after a short passage by the enclave of Bosnia-Herzegovina. The whole day was marked by splendid weather but with gusts of wind for the greatest pleasure… of the surfers.

Day 4 – Monday, May 28th, 2007 :
Dubrovnic – Kolasin (225 km)
Whereas Montenegro is on the point of celebrating its first birthday, the passage at the border - in spite of the rigorous examination of the passports and papers of the vehicles - is done quickly. It makes it possible for the participants to quickly join the large fjord of the south of Europe, the Fjord of Kotor.
The old city accomodates the motorcyclists under the sun, but whereas the last are prepare to leave the old town a flood submerges the latecomers. The participants in Eurobiker Tour 2006 saw worse. The reception by the mayor of Budva, a small city on the Adriatic, is all the more sympathetic. The city seems in full rebuilding, and to join the center where the reception took place the bikers are entitled to take part in a motocross. But even the HondaGoldwing's pass the obstacle without real problem..
In the following part , the participants enjoy the splendid gorges of Makarska. On arrival, the motorcyclists having faced the bad weather find a splendid compensation in the form of a hotel “five stars and ore”, the Bianca Resort & Spa in Kolasin.

Day 5 – Tuesday, May 29th, 2007 :
Kolasin – Belgrade (415 km)
After having left their splendid hotel with Kolasin, the motorcyclists join a new border, born at the time of the preceding Eurobiker Tour. The border which separates from now on Montenegro from Serbia. On the Montenegro side, a bright new installation with all facilities. At the Serbian side, a few containters. Please be patient...
On the two sides of the new border, the participants in the 5. Eurobiker Tour are rewarded by splendid roads curving at the bottom for the imposing canyons. The arrival in Belgrade is done with the help of a police escort. Reception by the Liquimoly sponsor in front of the theatre, then in front of the town hall by the communal authorities.
The evening ends in a meal in a typical restaurant with folk music. Tiredness is felt, as well among the competitors as, more rarely, on the level of mechanics. But if the team of the mechanics of the ADAC Saar is extremely solicited, this is fortunately not the case for the ambulance team of the Luxembourg Red Cross or the doctor of the Tour.

Day 6 – Wednesday, May 30th, 2007 :
Belgrade – Sibiu (405)
For some groups, the passage at the border with Romania, the return in the European Union, took some time. This was not the fault of customs officers being meticulous persons, but the participants had to take part in a nice reception offered by the mayor of the frontier town.
After a hard time on the Autoput, the 5th Eurobiker Tour achieved its main destination : the Transylvanian town of Sibiu..
In the old city, the 5th Euro Turn is awaited by the ambassador of Luxembourg in Romania Conrad Bruch, the mayor Klaus Johannis and by many habitants of this European capital of the culture. After (too much) long speeches and handing-over of two cheques to the persons in charge of orphanages, the bikers continued in direction of the hotel located in a pretty balneal complex.
The evening was enclosed by a festival and a meal offered by Liquimoly.

Day 7 – Thursday, May 31st, 2007 :
Day of emotions: them due to the visit to the home of children “GULLIVER” in Sibiu which shelters an about sixty orphans. Much more than the gift of 3000 euros Eurobiker, spontaneously increased by a cheque of 1500 euros of the Luxembourg company Vertaria, it was the small gifts and the discovery of the motor bikes which filled the children with enthusiasm .
Very quickly, the barrier of the language, and that of the generations fell. One will never know who, of the children or the pilots who took them along for a small turn, were happiest!
In the afternoon, a great number of participants were entitled to a guided tour of Sibiu while others took good time in the swimming pool of the thermal center. Some irreducible made several hundred kilometers to see the castle of Dracula.
Day 8 – Friday, June 1st, 2007 :
Sibiu – Budapest (530 km)
From the 61 motor bikes having left Luxembourgone week earlier , 60 joined the official arrival of the tour, Budapest, a week later. They crossed 2.602 kilometers. Only one motorbike did'nt finish the tour due to mechanical failure. Others could be towed by ADAC Saar and be repaired by local mechanics.
The best news: all the participants came safe to the destination, undoubtedly tired, but without no casualty. The last fot the official visits was a visit of the Parliament of Hungary. Eurobikers were received there by the vice-president of the commission of the Foreign Affairs.
